Your mission
The Teamlead SAP Basis Operations (ERP) is responsible for managing, operating, and continuously optimizing SAP systems across the global PUMA landscape. This role leads a team of SAP Basis professionals to ensure the high availability, performance, stability, and scalability of SAP environments, including SAP S/4HANA (Private Cloud), SAP ECC (R/3), and related components. Combining strong technical expertise with effective leadership capabilities, the role drives operational excellence and supports the execution of strategic SAP initiatives across the organization.
SAP Operations & Service Delivery
Ensure stable, secure, and uninterrupted operation of SAP systems across all supported regions
Manage and optimize SAP landscapes including S/4HANA (Private Cloud), SAP ECC (R/3), and related platforms
Organize and oversee on-call support and incident management processes
Manage external service providers and ensure delivery in line with defined SLAs and performance standards.
Technical Oversight
Act as a hands-on expert for SAP Basis operations, providing guidance on complex technical topics
Oversee system upgrades, patches, kernel updates, and support package implementations
Monitor system performance and implement optimization measures to ensure efficiency and scalability
Define and enforce SAP Basis standards, best practices, and operational procedures.
Global Scope & Governance
Assume responsibility for SAP Basis operations across additional global regions, ensuring consistent service quality and system availability
Standardize processes, tools, and governance models across regions
Ensure alignment with global IT strategy, architecture standards, and security requirements.
Project & Transformation Support
Support and drive SAP-related projects such as upgrades, rollouts, and technical transformations
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., Business Solutions, Architecture, Project Management) and external partners
Contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of the SAP technology landscape.
