Your mission
Position Summary: At Puma, we move fast and so does our taxation function. As a Taxation Industrial Trainee, you will be an integral part of the taxation team, supporting compliance, reporting, and advisory across direct and indirect tax functions. This role offers hands-on exposure to tax regulations impacting a leading global sports lifestyle brand.
Duration: 12 months
Reports to: Senior Manager Taxation
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assist in preparation and filing of direct and indirect tax returns (GST, TDS, Income Tax).
Support GST compliance, including return filing, reconciliations, and handling notices.
Work on TDS calculations, filings, and reconciliations with books.
Assist in tax audits, assessments, and preparation of required documentation.
Perform reconciliation of financial data with tax filings (GST vs books, TDS vs ledger).
Support tax provisioning and deferred tax calculations.
Ensure adherence to statutory compliance timelines and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams (Finance, Supply Chain, Legal) for tax-related data.
Assist in responding to tax notices and queries from authorities.
Contribute to process improvements and automation in tax reporting.

Who You Are
Pursuing CA (ICAI) with eligibility to undergo industrial training as per institute guidelines.
Strong academic record and solid conceptual understanding of taxation.
Proficient in MS Excel; working knowledge of SAP ERP is a definite advantage.
Sharp analytical mind with clear, confident communication skills.
Self-driven and comfortable keeping pace in a fast-moving brand environment.
Comfortable working both independently and in cross-functional teams.
