Your mission
We are seeking Senior Product Owner Retail Tech to lead strategic evolution and support operational excellence across our retail technology ecosystem. This role is responsible for defining, driving, and continuously optimizing key in-store consumer experience capabilities, including Point of Sale (POS), omnichannel services, CRM and loyalty integrations, digital signage, and other store-facing retail technologies. While POS represents the core platform within the product scope, the role also ensures alignment and integration with related in-store solutions that support seamless customer journeys.You will own the POS product vision, roadmap, and backlog, while ensuring strong alignment with business strategy, IT architecture, and operational standards across the global DTC landscape.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Define and own the global POS product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals.
Translate business needs into structured product initiatives and a prioritized product backlog.
Act as the global point of product accountability for the POS platform.
Drive standardization of POS processes while taking local regulatory and operational nuances into consideration.
Lead major POS enhancements, upgrades, and lifecycle management initiatives.
Collaborate closely on requirements definition with Global Retail Operations, Loss Prevention, IT Architecture, BI, Finance, and external vendors.
Ensure stable, reliable, and scalable product performance across global markets.
Define and track key product KPIs for POS. Establish reporting frameworks together with BI and Retail Operations to ensure transparency of product performance and enable further data-driven decision making.
Use data and performance metrics to guide backlog prioritization and support product evolution across markets.
Lead incident prioritization and structured problem management from a product perspective.
Champion innovation in areas such as mobile POS, self-checkout, digital receipts, unified commerce, and payment technologies.
Your talent
5+ years of experience in Product Management in Retail with strong exposure to POS systems.
Proven experience managing global or multi-market retail technology platforms.
Strong understanding of store operations, omnichannel processes and checkout and back-office workflows.
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), payment integrations, and fiscal requirements.
Ability to translate complex technical topics into business-relevant decisions.
Experience managing vendor ecosystems and external technology partners.
Strong stakeholder management skills at mid-senior leadership level.
Data-driven mindset with ability to prioritize based on business value and operational impact.
Fluent in English.
Willing to relocate or already located in the Nürnberg Metropolitan Region (Germany).
