Your mission
As Retail Director Europe Central, you will lead and drive the performance of our Retail Stores across the European Central Cluster (DACH, Eastern Europe, Benelux) for FPS & FOC channels. Your mission is to deliver sustainable sales and profitability while ensuring a consistent, premium and inspiring shopping experience that brings the PUMA brand to life.
You will play a key role in shaping our retail footprint by closely partnering with Leasing to evaluate new store locations and by managing store openings, refits, and closures. With a strong commercial mindset and passion for people leadership, you will translate strategy into excellence in execution.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Sales & Profitability: Drive sales, margin, and profitability while protecting and elevating the PUMA brand image.
- Business Opportunities: Identify and leverage growth opportunities through productivity improvements, quality enhancements, and cost control.
- Market & Consumer Insights: Analyze customer profiles, buying behavior, local market trends, and competition to steer the business.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Merchandising, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising to respond to trends and unlock business potential.
- Customer Experience: Ensure outstanding customer experience across all stores, fully aligned with PUMA’s values and service standards.
- Operational Excellence: Deliver consistently on operational KPIs and ensure adherence to all standard operating and customer service procedures.
- Strategic Planning: Actively contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and long-term growth initiatives, including marketing and merchandising opportunities.
- Data & Analytics: Ensure transparency, communication, and effective use of key data to support strong decision-making.
- People Leadership: Build, inspire, and lead high-performing, accountable, and service-oriented teams across the region.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all legal and operational requirements, including occupational health and safety within your area of responsibility.
Your talent
- Extensive leadership experience (+15 years) in an international retail management, ideally in a multi-country environment
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability
- Deep understanding of retail operations, store performance steering, and customer experience excellence
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire large teams and senior retail leaders
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills across functions
- High level of ownership, resilience, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus
