The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of product, brand, and commercial performance in one of the most dynamic categories in sport. You’ll own the end-to-end Golf category across merchandising and marketing, shaping how product comes to life in-market and how it performs with consumers.
Working at the centre of Go-To-Market execution, this role blends analytical thinking with creative storytelling, translating strategy into ranges, campaigns, and ultimately, sell-through success.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Driving Category Performance Through Merchandising
You’ll take ownership of the Golf assortment, building and executing ranges that are commercially sharp, consumer-relevant, and aligned to the broader business vision.
Build and execute seasonal assortments across wholesale and retail channels
Manage distribution, account planning, pricing, and consumer flow
Align product strategies to financial targets and overall business direction
Execute seasonal merchandising critical paths from planning through to launch
Lead end-to-end category ownership to achieve KPI and sell-through outcomes
Bringing the Brand to Market
You won’t just plan product - you’ll bring it to life. From campaign ideation through to execution and reporting, you’ll ensure the Golf category shows up powerfully across every touchpoint.
Plan and deliver brand and commercial marketing campaigns
Manage agency partners from briefing through to post-campaign analysis
Lead events, activations, and campaign shoots
Coordinate product samples for PR, social, and campaign activity
Support press release distribution and creative asset delivery
Manage budgets, tracking, and invoicing processes
Connecting Teams to Drive Outcomes
Success in this role comes from collaboration. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure alignment, consistency, and execution excellence.
Partner with merchandising, marketing, retail, and sales teams
Align plans to financial targets and strategic objectives
Support key account execution to maximise sell-through
Contribute to cross-category and cross-functional initiatives
Capturing In-Season Opportunities
Retail moves fast, and so will you. You’ll respond to opportunities in real time to maximise performance beyond the plan.
Identify and act on in-season trading opportunities
Drive wholesale sell-in using available stock opportunities
Owning Market Intelligence
You’ll become the category expert - using insight to sharpen decision-making and keep the business competitive.
Analyse sell-through and performance trends
Monitor pricing, competitors, and market dynamics
Feed insights into assortment planning and campaign direction
Stay connected to both local and global market movements
Your talent
What You Bring
You’re equally comfortable in a spreadsheet and a campaign briefing - with the ability to connect data, product, and storytelling into meaningful commercial outcomes.
Experience in merchandising, marketing, or a hybrid role within sport, retail, or lifestyle brands (circa 5+ years)
Strong commercial and analytical mindset with problem-solving capability
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence outcomes
A natural collaborator who thrives in cross-functional environments
Creativity and attention to detail in equal measure
Confidence working across campaigns, product, and go-to-market execution
Tools & Capability
Proficiency across Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Outlook)
Exposure to merchandising or reporting systems (training supported)
Strong organisational and project management skills
How Success Will Be Measured
This role is ultimately about execution and impact - delivering against financial targets, achieving strong product sell-through, and creating compelling, consistent brand presence in-market.
Working Relationships
You’ll work closely with internal merchandising, marketing, sales, retail, operations, and finance teams, alongside external agency partners and key wholesale accounts.
