Your Mission
The Head of Sales and Business Development is responsible for driving profitable and sustainable market share and net sales growth in alignment with the wholesale financial targets. This position leads the wholesale strategy execution across key accounts, ensures standardized practices in sales operations, builds and develops the local sales team, and plays a pivotal role in supporting the brand’s mid- to long-term strategy in Vietnam. The ideal candidate will embody strong commercial acumen, leadership capabilities, and a collaborative mindset, while delivering operational excellence in line with PUMA’s standards
Task 1: Wholesale Leadership and Customer Relationship Management
- Lead all wholesale activities with the objective of becoming the ‘preferred partner’ in the market
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers in all major accounts
- Foster transparent, data-driven partnerships that ensure mutual commercial success and long-term growth
Task 2: Strategy Execution and Sales Standardization
- Support the development and localization of PUMA’s wholesale strategy
- Ensure seamless implementation of regional sales initiatives, including account management frameworks, segmentation models, and trade terms policies
- Drive executional excellence across all wholesale operations
Task 3: Sales Performance, Forecasting and Reporting
- Forecast, track, and report performance against key sales KPIs, including sales revenue, margins, trade terms compliance, and order book status
- Analyze customer performance, market trends, competitor activities, and sell-thru data
- Provide actionable insights to optimize ROI and identify new growth opportunities
Task 4: Strategic Support and Business Planning
- Collaborate with senior local management to define and implement mid- to long-term brand and sales strategies
- Contribute to GTM (Go-To-Market) planning and resource prioritization to ensure alignment with business objectives
Task 5: Business Development Initiatives
- Identify and explore new business opportunities, channels, and partnerships to expand PUMA’s market reach and revenue streams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate commercial viability, develop entry strategies, and support implementation of new initiatives
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in a dynamic retail landscape
Task 6: Sales Organization Development and People Leadership
- Recruit, structure, and scale the Vietnam wholesale team in alignment with organizational blueprints and business needs
- Set clear performance expectations and KPIs for direct reports
- Develop, coach, and inspire team members, promoting a high-performance and collaborative culture
